In the sixteen century Poland was well known in Italy, especially in the Republic of Venice and in its University in Padua. Padua was the theater of two rides: the Polish queen Bona Sforza (1556) and the Polish king Henry III de Valois (1574) had a great impact on getting Polish culture and history in Veneto, and still now the oral tradition of the legend about the crested hen from Poland is a symbol of culinary culture and the most well-known Polish 'traveler’.
